Haulotte Expects to Reach 2004 Sales Goals

October 12, 2004—After more than two years of difficulty, the aerial work platform market is beginning to shows signs of recovery. This is according to Pinguely-Haulotte, L'Horme, France, which recently released its financial summary for the first half of 2004. Reporting net sales of approximately €126.3 million as of June 30, 2004, Pinguely-Haulotte's net sales were up more than 15%. Net sales for the first half of 2003 were €109.5 million.

 

Additionally, pre-tax income for the same time period showed an increase of nearly 50% with €9.5 million over €6.4 million last year.

 

Considering the market recovery and with order intake up 25% at the end of September, the company expects to confirm its objectives to reach net sales of €280 million for fiscal year 2004 and a net margin of 5%.

 

The company's third quarter sales figures will be released October 21.
