Grove TMS800E is the fourth to join the truck crane series.

March 9, 2005—Grove Crane, Shady Grove, Pa., will unveil a new truck crane to visitors at next week's ConExpo in Las Vegas, Nev. The Grove TMS800E, manufactured by Manitowoc Crane Group, is the fourth model in this series.

The 80-ton unit features a 128-foot four-section full-power boom and a 56-foot bi-fold lattice swingaway jib. Available inserts of 20 feet or 40 feet increase tip height to 230 feet.

Power for the unit comes from a 336 kW (450 hp) Cummins diesel engine which drives a 10-speed automatic-shifting manual transmission. The unit also features air-ride suspension front and rear that provides a smooth, comfortable ride at 65 mph. Up to 9 tons of counterweight in four sections is hydraulically installed and removed.

The TMS800E features new chassis and superstructure cab designs, similar to that found on the GMK line of all-terrain cranes. Get product information at www.manitowoccranegroup.com.
