Giuffre Bros. and Terex Cranes Announce Exclusive Licensing Agreement for Two New Boom Trucks

June 28, 2006 — Giuffre Bros. Cranes Inc., Milwaukee, Wis., announces two new boom trucks available for immediate delivery. Through an exclusive contract with Terex Cranes, Waverly, Iowa, Giuffre Bros., will be the only crane distributor to handle the new 18-ton and 25-ton crane models. The Dino 1800 and Dino 2500 replace 17-ton and 23.5-ton models, respectively, in the company's line up, according to George Schalk, general manager for Giuffre Bros., who explained that these packages represent the most popular size range.

 

The Dino 1800 offers a maximum tip height of 120 feet when equipped with the optional 40-foot jib while the larger unit has a 146-foot tip height when equipped with its optional 44-foot jib. The machines feature Terex's patented five-sided keel boom design and a two-speed winch. Both models are standard equipped with a Greer 586 overload protection system featuring an operator's display monitor.

 

The Dino 2500 has front stabilizers and rear out-and-down outriggers and a 21-foot truck bed, while the Dino 1800 is equipped with four A-frame outriggers and a 20-foot bed.

 

"Our customers have been asking for truck-mounted cranes with more capacity. We worked out an agreement with TEREX that will enable us to make these products available for immediate or near-immediate delivery," says Dominic Giuffre, vice president of Giuffre Bros. Cranes. The new units round out the Giuffre Bros. line, which includes truck-cranes with capacity from 17 tons to 40 tons.

 

According to the company, by buying large volume, Giuffre Bros., is able to make these new cranes available at the lowest prices in the industry. The cranes are supported by the Giuffre Bros. parts and service department.
