The redesigned L60 from Elliot offers many enhancements.

September 8, 2005 — Elliott Equipment Co., headquartered in Omaha, Neb., recently redesigned its L60 truck-mounted aerial lift and crane. The model incorporates several significant design improvements, including: continuous rotation for easier operation; turret-mounted lower controls for better line of sight; an easy access pedestal opening; and individual outrigger controls for easy setup of new MH out-and-down style outriggers.

Other changes are intended to reduce maintenance and improve reliability. The unit now has 40 percent fewer fittings, which are now O-Ring face seal for lower maintenance and lift cylinders have been limited to just one, also reducing maintenance. An improved watertight seal on the control box increases reliability; hex head bolts on the rotation bearing and gearbox improves access and serviceability; and a tubular torque frame improves torsional resistance.

The L60 also features a self-leveling work platform, featuring an isolated, pressurized leveling system, with 56 feet of platform height and a 5,900-pound crane capacity. Its patented EZR rotating removable work platform can be customized with several productivity enhancing features, including a platform-mounted electrical outlet, hydraulic tool circuit, air tool circuit, material-handling jib winch, and sign/glass face-handling brackets.

“The L60 demonstrates Elliott's commitment to developing a full line of personnel and material handling solutions,” said Jim Glazer, president of Elliott Equipment Co. “We are extremely excited to make this next-generation advancement in our product. We have spent hundreds of hours interviewing customers, determining their needs, and designing a state-of-the-art product that will meet and exceed those needs.”
