Elliott Equipment Receives Workplace Safety Award

August 18, 2004 - Elliott Equipment Co., Omaha , Neb. , recently was recognized by the Nebraska Workforce Development - Department of Labor for its workplace safety programs for employees.


Labor Commissioner Fernando Lecuona presented the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award to Elliott Equipment, and OSHA representatives also were present to honor the company.


"Elliott Equipment Co. has a lot to be proud of in achieving this recognition," Lecuona said. "Businesses who receive SHARP status do so by going above and beyond in the area of workplace safety. The Nebraska Workforce Development - Department of Labor is proud to recognize Elliott Equipment Company for their commitment to safe and healthy work environments."


Companies earn SHARP certification by demonstrating a strong commitment to workplace safety and health as reflected in reduced occupational injury/illness experiences and development of a safety and health management program.


"All of us at Elliott Equipment Co. are committed to safety, both at our workplace and in the products we build," President Jim Glazer said. "This is a significant accomplishment and a milestone that our entire team is extremely proud to have achieved."
