Dropped Load - Miami

December 2015 - A construction worker was killed when a piece of heavy machinery being hoisted by a tower crane fell and hit him as he stood on the 37th floor of a condo building under construction. The load weighed more than 2,000 lbs. Rescue workers used another crane to bring the worker’s body down from the top floor of the building. Miami Fire and Police departments are investigating the fatal incident. - www.miamiherald.com
