Customized Talbert 60CC-RC Trailer Adds Versatility

Mar. 29, 2023 - Talbert Manufacturing, Rensselaer, Indiana, recently customized its 60CC-RC trailer to enhance weight distribution and reinforce its deck for greater versatility to meet load requirements in a variety of states.

The fixed four-axle close-couple trailer, designed for Bill Miller Equipment Sales Inc., incorporates an option to add a fifth axle for improved weight distribution to meet load restrictions in states throughout the Northeast.

Talbert recently exhibited the custom-built 60CC-RC trailer at the ConExpo trade show March 14-18, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Bill Miller Equipment recognizes that purchasing a trailer that is custom engineered to meet ever-changing weight and height requirements is an investment that will put them ahead in the long run,” said Troy Geisler, vice president of sales and marketing for Talbert.

Geisler added that as customers accommodate changes in the industry and equipment designs, they require more flexibility from their trailers, and that Talbert has a long history of building trailers to meet customers’ special requirements.

The trailer that Talbert built for Miller Equipment features a ratchet gooseneck, a 28’-long deck (27’6” clear length), a 114” swing radius, and a 24” flip-up and removable gooseneck extension for a 138” swing radius.

The deck incorporates a 9’6”-wide raised center deck with capabilities for an additional 4’ reinforced beam deck and 6’ raised center deck inserts.

Its 60-USt capacity of 13’ and four axles close-coupled ensure safe transport of a concentrated load.

Talbert’s standard T-1, 100,000-psi steel, Valspar R-Cure 800 paint, and clearcoat deliver maximum durability and longevity.

"We’ve been buying Talbert trailers for more than 30 years,” said Nathan Miller, transportation manager at Bill Miller Equipment Sales. “Their dedication to quality and ability to manufacture a trailer tailored to the customers’ needs makes them the premier choice for a growing and evolving business.”
