Crane Topples Merrimack, N.H.
November 2015 – One worker suffered minor injuries when a crane crashed through the roof of a house where workers were removing trees. The crew was cutting down the last tree when the crane apparently hit a septic tank in the backyard, which opened a sinkhole and caused the crane to topple into the house. The crane’s boom smashed into the roof of the occupied home, and left a crew member dangling from the tree. The climber, who was injured with the boom hit his foot as the operator tried to remove it from the house, was taken to a local hospital. - www.wmur.com
