August 2016 – No one was injured when a crane struck the 12th floor of 3 World Trade Center. Fire officials said the crane was bringing the headache ball back up to the top of the building, after having lowered material to the ground, when a gust of wind caused the ball to hit the window. No debris fell to the ground, and city Office of Emergency Management staff said the crane has been secured to the 45-story building, currently under construction. The glass panel impacted by the headache ball will be replaced. Safety inspectors are investigating the accident. – usnews.com
