Crane Accident: Winfield Township, Pa.

A crane operator was partially trapped and had to be pulled to safety via a rescue basket when the crane he was running toppled off a bridge and fell 95 feet. The man, alert and talking to rescuers, was working on a bridge resurfacing job when the accident occurred. He lost his foot in the accident, in which rescuers had to use shovels to dig him out. PennDOT officials are investigating. —WPXI.com
