Crane Accident: Richmond, Maine
March 2012–A low-slung train trestle that crosses a highway and has a clearance of 11’2” was damaged when the highest point of a boom truck struck the middle of the trestle. The impact damaged the boom truck’s winch and one of the support beams on the trestle, which is no longer used by the railroad. Firefighters cleaned up a small amount of hydraulic fluid that leaked from the winch. Nobody was injured and no charges have been filed. – onlinesentinel.com
