Crane Accident: Richardson, Texas

July 2012 —Two crane workers were killed when a large section of a tower crane they were dismantling toppled. No one else was injured. The section of crane fell onto the roof of a university building it had been helping construct. At least one witness said a strong gust of wind played a part in the accident, and local weather reports estimated gusts of 40 to 50 mph at the time of the accident.
