Crane Accident: Montreal, Quebec

February 2012–Firefighters rescued an injured worker from a platform about 100 feet above ground after he fell while climbing to the operator’s cab of a tower crane. The workman was about 120 feet up the tower when he missed a rung in the ladder and fell about 20 feet onto a platform inside the tower. The fall injured his head and upper body. Specially trained firefighters lowered him to the ground in a stretcher. Quebec’s health and safety administration says it is not likely to investigate. - montrealgazette.com
