Crane Accident: Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
February 2013—The operator of a boom truck suffered life-threatening head and internal injuries when he leapt from the truck as it overturned while lifting a load. The crane operator was attempting to move large poles when one dislodged and swung across the rear of the crane, causing the boom truck's center of gravity to shift. As the boom truck tipped, the operator tried to jump in the opposite direction, but his feet hit something and he fell into the ground head first. The injured operator received CPR from co-workers and then emergency responders. He was taken to a regional medical center in critical condition and later flown to a trauma center. – www.havasunews.com
