Crane Accident: Fresno, Calif.
October 2013—The collapsed lattice boom of a truck crane blocked all four lanes of an overpass southeast of Fresno, Calif., after the crane tipped and the boom struck the overpass. The crane had been helping maintain rail lines and was sitting below and beside the overpass when the accident happened. No details about the accident's cause have been released, but no one was injured. Although the crane was removed the next day, the overpass was closed for a second day until city officials made sure no permanent damage was done to the structure. – www.fresnobee.com
