Crane Accident: Fairbanks, Alaska
August 2012—The owner of a crane arrived at the worksite one morning to find the cranes’s boom laid backward over crane’s upperworks, as well as a power line torn down and its pole snapped off at the base. Total damage to the crane boom is estimated more than $50,000. Police took a suspect into custody at a local hospital and charged her with fifth-degree criminal mischief. She was a disoriented female who had been talking about a crane and was covered in black grease like that used on the damaged crane. – www.newsminer.com
