Crane Accident: Bear Creek Township, Pa.

November 2012—The operator of a crane was trapped by the trailer of tractor-trailer dump truck that overturned onto his crane. The accident happened as the crane operator tried to lift the trailer, which had become stuck in mud while dumping a load of stone. When the crane operator tried to lift the trailer, which was still partly filled with rocks, the trailer toppled onto the crane. Rescue workers cut holes in the trailer to free the crane operator, who had suffered two broken legs. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. - www.timesleader.com
