Comansa Launches Its First Hydraulically Luffed Tower Crane

Aug. 31, 2022 – Spanish tower crane manufacturer Comansa is expanding its range of luffing jib tower cranes by launching the LCH300, its first hydraulic model.

The LCH300 can lift up to 17.6 USt or reach out to a radius of 196’.

The tower crane manufacturer will showcase this innovative model at the Bauma 2022 trade fair, Oct.24-30 in Munich, Germany.

The LCH300/16 t can be embedded, supported on bases of 19.7’ or 26.3’, or movable.

The crane can be assembled with 8.2’x 8.2’ tower sections. Its modular jib has a reach of 82.0’ to 196’, in 16.4’ increments.

Its minimum working radius is 13.1’, and its minimum out-of-service radius is 29.5’.

It has manual transmission combinations of 1T (direct pulling) and 2T.

The maximum load capacity is 8.8 USt the 1T configuration and 17.6 USt with the 2T configuration. The maximum load at the jib end is 7,495 lbs. and 6,944 lbs., respectively.

The luffing system moves the jib and counter jib jointly by a hydraulic cylinder at the cathead and jib hinge assembly.

The hydraulic pump unit is located on a movable platform in one piece.

From the cab, the operator can see the load hoist. A 50kW (67-hp) winch is standard standard, and a 65kW (87.1-hp) winch is optional.

Effi-Plus technology can increase winch speed without affecting power consumption for faster cycles and better productivity.

The crane’s design optimizes transport efficiency. The LCH300 can be transported by just eight trucks or containers.

Comansa’s award-winning Cube Cab (L or XL), the lifting unit, and the hydraulic unit platform, can each be transported as a single piece.

The LCH300 hydraulic luffing-jib tower crane offers outstanding performance, efficient assembly, and a compact out-of-service radius.
