CM Labs Simulations, a company in the simulation-based training space, has launched the Intellia Overhead Crane Simulator Training Pack, a tool tailored for steel manufacturers and industrial applications.
Expanding into the industrial sector, this simulator delivers realistic operator training, incorporating multiple attachments, control schemes and a unique feature allowing trainers to inject live faults into exercises to simulate real-world challenges.
Designed to meet industry demand for advanced and effective operator training, the system includes precision tools for handling steel products like coils and slabs in a realistic warehouse setting.
Its authentic machine behavior and flexible control options ensure operators are well-prepared for the demands of on-site operations.
“CM Labs is entering the industrial market to fill a critical need for advanced, realistic training solutions that ensure operators are fully prepared for the demands of real-world operations,” Lisa Barbieri, vice president of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at CM Labs said.
The simulator integrates with CM Labs’ Intellia Intelligent Training System, offering detailed analytics and reporting features. Trainers can simulate equipment malfunctions, improving operator readiness for unexpected scenarios while reducing training time and costs.
"There's no better way to train an operator than using a simulator, period," Jason Salmon, Heavy Equipment master trainer at Gerdau, a steel producer that has integrated CM Labs’ simulation training solutions into its training program said.
"It takes us about half as long to get somebody signed off on our equipment because once they hit the field, they already know how the machine works."
Compatible with CM Labs’ Edge Plus, Edge Max and Advantage hardware, the training pack is part of a comprehensive catalog of equipment solutions.
It further emphasizes CM Labs’ commitment to enhancing safety, efficiency and operational readiness in industrial environments.
