May 2, 2022 – Buckner HeavyLift Cranes, Graham, North Carolina, recently promoted Bret Shields from director of safety risk management to vice president of operations.
In addition to his new role, Shields also continues to be responsible for the company’s safety risk management, which he has overseen since joining Buckner in June 2019.
Shields joined Buckner HeavyLift after a 20-year career of increasing responsibility with Kiewit, where he started as a maintenance engineer and rose to become corporate manager of cranes, responsible for some 300 units ranging from 8.5-USt carry decks to 1,100-USt lattice-boom crawler cranes.
