AWPT to Announce New Training Centers Plus Manufacturer-Offered Programs

November 3, 2004—AWPT Inc., Rouzerville, Pa., a training program for North American operators of all types of aerial work platforms, is moving forward with the establishment of at least six new training centers. According to Tim Whiteman, managing director of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the organization will announce by mid-November training centers to be operated by rental companies as well as additional programs to be offered by several aerial equipment manufacturers. AWPT is a wholly owned subsidiary of IPAF.

 

The first training center, established in December 2003, at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, is operated by Eckstine & Associates. More information about the new training centers is expected later this month, with a full showing by the organizations at ConExpo to be held in Las Vegas, Nev., March 15-19, 2005.
