AWPT Forms Advisory Council
January 19, 2005—The Aerial Work Platform Training, Inc. (AWPT) Advisory Council recently held its first meeting and initiated plans to implement comprehensive safety training for users of aerial work platforms. The Advisory Council is comprised of manufacturers, safety and training organizations, unions, contractors, rental companies, and insurance providers. In addition, AWPT is seeking support from industry trade groups, such as the Scaffold Industry Association, and governmental bodies.
