Aspen Equipment moved to a new Omaha facility this month.

December 10, 2008 – Aspen Equipment this month moved from its previously leased building to a newly built facility in Omaha, Neb. The truck equipment installation and service facility is over 20,000-square-foot and features a dozen bays, each 20 feet wide and 50 to 60 feet long. Each bay is served by up to two 7.5 ton overhead hoists to accommodate the heaviest picks and expedite crane service and installation opportunities. The property is nearly 5 acres of fenced and paved land.

“Our recent acquisition of the Manitowoc and Grove Crane lines in Nebraska and Iowa, in addition to our growing National Crane and Auto Crane lines necessitates this expansion,” said Steve Sill, president and owner of Aspen. “We built this new Omaha facility to give Aspen the opportunity to stock more inventory for speedy delivery and provide parts and service to our customers in this region.”

“The new facility depicts our long-term commitment to the Nebraska, Iowa regional marketplace,” Sill said. “This facility is designed for the future with expansion opportunities like a zip-off back wall that will allow for 6,600 additional square feet as our penetration into this market grows.”

Aspen added a new 17,000-square-foot facility in the Des Moines, Iowa, region in 2003 and expanded its Minneapolis headquarters in 2001.
