ARA Show Moves Up on Trade Show Ranking List; AEM Fills Seat on Board
June 1, 2005 — The American Rental Association's Rental Show held in Atlanta in 2004 increased its ranking on the Tradeshow Week 200 list of largest trade shows in the United States from No. 81 in 2003 to No. 77 in 2004. This placement is determined by net square feet of paid exhibit space. Held at the GeorgiaWorldCongressCenter, The Rental Show drew more than 5,500 rental store attendees and 5,000 exhibitor personnel. Exhibit space sold out with more than 750 exhibitors showcasing their products.
In other association news, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has elected Rob Kolb to serve on its board of directors. Kolb is the vice president of marketing for the Americas Region for WestfaliaSurge Inc., Naperville, Ill. As an AEM director, Kolb will offer his expertise in areas of product safety and technical support, equipment statistics, market trends data, government representation, among other information, education, and training services.
