November 17, 2004—American/Safi, Linthicum, Md., has established six U.S. dealers for Italian-made Safi mast-climbing work platforms since May 2003. Three different models ranging from 58 to 116 feet long are now available from the U.S. master distributor.

The Mini Mast offers a maximum height of 328 feet, yet fits through a standard 4-foot door. Its small footprint permits its use both indoors and outdoors. Installation requires only two or three people.

In the twin-mast configuration, the Gamma features a maximum height of 334 feet, 80 feet of length, and up to 4,400 pounds capacity.

The 492-foot tall Vision mast-climber has a 42-foot platform length in the single-mast configuration and 116-foot length in the twin-mast configuration. Additionally, the unit can be set up as a free-standing single mast up to 59 feet without wall tie for outside use and 82 feet for inside use. When a wall tie is used at the top level, it achieves heights of 98 and 104 feet, respectively.
