Accessories Target Worker Productivity

The SkyAirT air compressor fits under the hood of equipped boom lifts.

April 21, 2004 -Among the accessories being introduced by JLG Industries, McConnellsburg , Pa. , this spring include four for boom lifts plus a new system for scissor lifts. Part of the Work Station in the SkyT series, the accessories are designed to enhance worker productivity.

The SkyAirT system includes an air compressor that fits under the hood of equipped boom lifts. It is driven by a 7500-watt SkyPowerT generator. The SkyAir compressor provides up to 9.3 cubic feet per minute at pressures of 125 pounds per square inch, which is enough to operate ½-inch drive impact wrenches, air hammers, drills, and other tools. T he SkyAir compressor helps promote safety by reducing the potential dangers from airlines hanging over platform rails and the clutter of additional generators and compressors on the site.

The welder is integrated into the boom lift's platform beneath the control panel to conserve space. This Pro-FitT accessory is shown with a pipe rack feature.

The system can be used in conjunction with the new SkyWelderT, which features a Miller Model CST 250 welder with a 5A to 250A range for stick and TIG welding applications. The welder is integrated into the boom lift's platform beneath the control panel to conserve space.

Also new to the series is the SkySawT, which integrates a concrete wall saw, and SkyCleanerT pressure washing system for removing residue associated with sawing activity.


For the Pro-FitT scissor lift series, several packages of quick-disconnect performance tools meet the needs of electricians, plumbers, and other trades. A work station includes a stowable bench, 110V outlet for power tools, compartments for fasteners and connectors, and tool holders that accommodate a reciprocating saw, hammer drill, pipe bender, and circular saw. Other packages designed to hold specific tools, such as a rail-mounted vise or an electrician tree, can be ordered from the company.
