WOLFFKRAN premieres the WOLFF 550 B, a new luffing jib crane designed to meet increasing demand for high-capacity cranes in infrastructure, industrial and data center projects. The model has been introduced as part of the company’s exhibit at bauma 2025.
The WOLFF 550 B offers a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons in two-fall operation and 15 tons in single-fall mode with its standard 110-kW hoist winch. At the 65-meter maximum jib length, it can lift 5.0 tons. A more powerful hoist winch version, allowing up to 36 tons, and a U.S. model with a 132-kW winch are expected by year-end.
Designed for high-rise applications, the crane reaches freestanding heights of nearly 82 meters and supports hook paths up to 920 meters. It is compatible with WOLFFKRAN’s KSH 23 internal climbing system, enabling more efficient on-site climbing.
Notably, the WOLFF 550 B includes a Flex Cab that can be mounted on either side of the crane - a standard feature that enhances site planning flexibility. A demonstration model with dual cabins will be presented at bauma to highlight this capability.
The crane will be available for order starting in June 2025, with anticipated launches in Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East later this year.
